Recognition Societies

Every gift made to CTS helps sustain the intellectually rigorous, spiritually formative and emotionally supportive education that make the CTS experience unlike any other.

Our recognition societies exist to acknowledge donors who include CTS in their philanthropic giving year after year.

1924 Annual Society
The 1924 Annual Society—named for the year the Butler School of Religion opened—offers membership to alumni and friends who make annual gifts to Christian Theological Seminary.

Membership is achieved when an individual’s cumulative personal, corporate and matching gifts of $1,000 or more are received in the same fiscal year.

In addition to the satisfaction of knowing that your philanthropy has made an impact at CTS, members of the 1924 Annual Society also enjoy a number of other benefits:

  • Special recognition in the CTS Annual Report
  • Personal invitation to Faith & Action receptions and events
  • Bi-annual newsletter from the President

1924 Lifetime Society

The 1924 Lifetime Society recognizes CTS alumni and friends of the seminary for their lifetime support of CTS.

Individuals with cumulative giving of $100,000 or more receive lifetime membership.

The exceptional support from the lifetime members has shaped the history and progress of CTS. Qualifying gifts include cash, securities, real estate and other personal property. They can be in the form of outright gifts, bequests or life income agreements. Gifts to the CTS Annual Fund are cumulative toward lifetime membership in the Society.

CTS Legacy Society

The CTS Legacy Society recognizes individuals who have made estate plans or established life-income gifts to benefit CTS.

Membership in the society has no minimum gift level. Gifts are an investment in the future that cannot be measured in terms of gains and losses. If you would like to become part of the CTS Legacy Society, or have already made plans through your will to support the Seminary, please contact Kristin Champa at 317-931-2310 or advancement@cts.edu.
